I'm Danny O'Connor
I'm an author and speaker whose work explores masculinity, eating disorders, body image, and the emotional and psychological experiences that are often left unexamined.
My talks are grounded in lived experience and authorship. They are designed to open space for thoughtful conversation and reflection rather than offer prescriptions or solutions. The focus is on awareness, language, and understanding—particularly in environments where these topics are rarely addressed openly.

Speaking Focus
My work centers on eating disorders in men, masculinity and body image, and the role discipline and control can play in shaping identity. I also explore broader emotional and psychological experiences, along with the impact of silence and visibility in personal and cultural contexts.
Each engagement is shaped with care for the audience and setting, and approached with clarity and respect.
Formats & Audiences
My work is appropriate for schools and universities, athletic programs and teams, conferences, events, and organizations seeking thoughtful, grounded dialogue.
I’m available across a range of formats, each adapted to the audience, setting, and goals of the event.
Keynote Talks
Keynotes offer a focused introduction to the themes in my work as an author. These talks establish shared language and invite reflection within larger audiences.
Panel Discussions
Panel discussions create space for dialogue alongside perspectives. I contribute through lived experience and authorship, helping deepen conversations in a grounded way.
Moderated Conversations
These sessions are discussion-led and guided by a moderator. They allow for deeper exploration while maintaining structure and clear boundaries.
Q&A Sessions
Q&A formats invite direct engagement with the material. Questions are approached thoughtfully and with care for the audience and setting.

Professional Boundaries
These talks are educational and experiential, informed by my work as an author and by personal experience. They are not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment, and do not replace professional care.
